SEFA hosts annual Sustainability Festival with special guest George Strait
AUSTIN, Texas – SEFA is hosting the largest festival powered by sustainable energy at Zilker Park on May 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a performance by George Strait, to raise money for various upcoming projects.
“I’m honored to help SEFA and their efforts around the world. Green energy is something we can all benefit from as it is not only healthy for the planet, but is healthy for all of us, it’s time we move in a greener direction,” said Strait.
Given the world’s reliance on fossil fuels that are damaging the health of the planet and all people, it is time to move in a greener direction by promoting sustainable energy efforts.
The festival is not only about raising awareness about SEFA’s project abroad, but on the home front as well. All attendees are encouraged to wear sustainably made clothing, all food vendors are offering sustainably made food and the entire festival is powered using sustainable energy.
Tickets to the festival are $20 which includes entry to the festival, a free parking pass and access to George Strait’s concert starting at noon. There is also an auction, which includes ones of Strait’s guitars, starting at 2 p.m. with food being served all day. There will also be a design lab where people can create their own sustainable energy project, one will be selected as a pitch for a potential project. Last year’s Sustainability Festival brought in 10,000 people and raised $5 million.
